Meghan Markle knew that her life would change dramatically when she became part of the royal family, but it seems she wasn’t fully prepared for the strict rules that she now has to follow as the Duchess of Sussex. A new report claims that Markle wants to write a new tell-all book to give fans some behind-the-scenes info about how she went from a Hollywood actress to British royalty, but the palace has shut it down.

According to Radar Online, Markle wanted to write a memoir that would not only tell her story but also give some insight into her healthy and fashionable lifestyle. But, the palace doesn’t want her exposing any royal secrets.

“Meghan had started keeping notes about her life, which will include a few personal details about Harry and baby Archie, but will mainly focus on her lifestyle, health, fashion, and design choices,” revealed an insider. “The only problem is, Palace staffers — and the Queen — are firm in their disapproval, worrying that it will be received as a salacious tell-all.”

The 37-year-old has definitely done things her own way since becoming a royal – wearing trendy fashion, starting a separate Instagram page, and keeping her son out of the public eye – but the palace is drawing the line at writing a book.

The source says that Markle wants to get this creative project off the ground, but she is “being stifled at every turn” because the palace doesn’t want the Duchess of Sussex causing any embarrassment.

Under that rule, only Prince George would have a title since he is the first son of Prince William, who is the oldest son of the heir, Prince Charles.

However, in 2013, Queen Elizabeth amended the rule and granted titles to all of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, but she didn’t do the same thing for the children of Prince Harry, who is officially His Royal Highness Henry Charles David Duke of Sussex and the sixth in line to the throne.

Archie Harrison is seventh in line to the throne, and that means he is still entitled to receive a royal title. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want their son to have a normal upbringing, so they have opted to skip the title for now, and let him make that decision when he gets older.
